Heard rumors about this a while back but just thought to follow up now. It Looks like it's legit now. Steven Spielburg is the executive producer in a Live Action Transformers Movie to be put out by Dreamworks in 07. This could have been under the geeky movies post, but its Transformers so I thought it deserved it's own post. Check out the info and watch here for the latest updates: www.transformerland.com/transformers-the-movie.html

They ruin *everything* nowadays, don't they. Well at least with a big name like Speilberg, there will be some decent $ to throw around, so it might be good. He's not directing it?

It's being directed by Michael Bay (never heard of him) and the screenplay was written by Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (them either).

The name sounded familiar, so I looked it up. He directed Bad Boys, Bad Boys II, The Island, The Rock, Pearl harbour and Armageddon.

What do you mean you heard 'rumours' about this.. I called pandora from New York to tell her about it so she could start keeping an eye out for transformers stuff since I expect the value to increase with it's immanent release...
I had the bloody press release in my hand! *LOL*

She may not have passed the info on, or perhaps she passed it on at a time where it didn't stick (while playing Jade Empire, or rating beers perhaps).

I know I most certainly told GB about the Transformers movie, because it amused me vastly that you would call me long distance just to tell me about the possible rise in Transformers values. Though actually, if past experience is any indication, what will actually happen is it will flood the market with people selling Transformers stuff and the prices will fall drastically, not rise. Which is bloody depressing, but neither here nor there. The point I meant to make was, I certainly mentioned it to GB. Now as to the if he was listening part.... I unfortunately have no control over that end. <double smirk>

Long distance doesn't really apply to me actually.. I pay the same price anywhere in north america. but I WAS thinking of your business when I caught wind of it.. no matter the end result I figured some warning was better than being caught off guard and either losing out on a jackpot or losing your shirt in a price crash...
