Here is one I never would have picked up if it wansn't half off, and I am so glad that I did.
Quickly: great game, best with 4 players, pick it up.
Summary: this is a game of trading. You play a merchant in a busy market trying to make the most profit buying and trading gems. Each turn you roll a D6 and move to a new market. Each market gives you a certain number of gems. Everyone moves at once. Then you pick between 4 options (including: rolling the die and moving again, taking what gems are in the market you are on, taking the points for the market you are on). You show your choice by card and all cards are displayed simultaneously. If two players pick the same card they have to trade gems to determine who gets to use thier card (the other gets the gems) here is where the main strategy comes in. There are 4 values of gems, and you trade varous combinations. When one merchant gets all the way around the board once points are scored. The player making it around gets points and then gems are scored, only the player with the most of a type of gem gets points. You repleat this a number of times=to the number of players.
The good: One of those games where the rules are very simple but the strategy can get pretty complex. A ton of fun and a fairly quick play.
The bad: not too much. It gets frustrating if you actions keep getting canceled due to three way ties. It also seems to have the steamroller problem (once one palyer starts winning it is hard to knock them down).
The ugly: Trades can get pretty nasty as there is usually a definate winner, players can end up at others throats for making a good/bad deal (this could be good or bad depending on the style of play you like).
Overall: a really good game. I suggest anyone pick it up espcially if half off. It does require at least 3 players and is much better with 4. Good for a first game of the night to get warmed up or a last game when you don't have time left for another lengthy game.
