Quickly: as addicitive as ever and even more fun then the last 9/10
Summary: it's the Sims. This update puts the graphics in 3d and adds a ton of new gameplay. The biggest change is the fact your Sims age. In addition each sim has goals and fears that you work with to get bouns items. There is also a ton of new stuff and options. Most items and interactions have been expanded.
The good: The improvments to the game are all awesome. I can't think of one bad change. I especially like how many objects now have more you can do with them, like being able to lounge or play on a couch. The graphics update is nice, and the 3d world and engine make it much easier to navigate. The added multiple colours for the furniture items wich is a great touch. All in all everything is better.
The Bad: It's still hard to manage everything especially keeping friends while trying to get promoted, but I guess this is the challenge of the game. The neighbourhoods still don't feel like true neighbourhoods as you can't walk down the street and go visit your neighbour. The three areas you get with the game to build in don't seem to have anything different about them besides looks, which is a bummer.
The Ugly: this is just as addictive or moreso then its predecessors. There is always that 'one more thing' to do before you quit for the night.
Overall: a great improvement on an already great game. This will suck you and and swallow you up for some time, and then when you finally kick the addiciton, you either quit, or pick up the latest expansion and get engrossed again.
