Old title - and I searched, so hopefull no one else has reviewed this one.
Overall, I'd have to say that this a pretty decent game.
I think one of the best aspects is definitely Garrett (main character). Stephen Russel has ascended to the likes of David Hayter and the guy who did the Raziel voice acting.
The gameplay is rather straightforward and easy to master. The lighting is phenomenal as well as the sound. The story (a very important issue for me) is well done, though a little predictable at times.
The graphics are terrible. The AI can be anywhere from as intelligent as a soap dish to being virtually Batman depending on the difficulty setting. Did I mention the graphics? Yeah, they suck.
Also, the Shalebridge Cradle level was almost as creepy as Silent Hill so kudos to the developers for that one.
*Ah, a brief review, but I find great pleasure in the fact that I am sitting here chalking down this game review whilst I sit in Dillon Hall, wearing a SW shirt. Oh the stares and double takes. I feel like an agent from a sleeper cell of the geek revolution . . . we're everywhere.

I love the Thief games. The second is the best of the bunch.
Everything else made by Warren Spector has been great too. His System Shock 2 scared the willies out of me -- much more so than any Thief game. I'm scared right now just thinking about it. *shivers*

Never tried the Theif games, they came out in those few (okay many) years when I didn't have a pc up to running anything more then a spreadsheet and a webbrowser. Thought about going back to try these out but there are so many good new games out there that I want to play that I probably never will.
