Okay I could have sworn there was a review from another member, but I couldn't find it.
Quickly: who the heck said this was short? Not as good as the first, but still fun. Wrong voice actors makes me angry.
Summary: The second installment in the Kingdom Hearts trillogy which combines the world of Disney with the world of Final Fantasy. Follow Sora Donald and Goofy as they travel to various Disney worlds battling the evil Organization XIII. A rather twisted (typical of Squenix) plot involving memory and heart.
The Good: This is one of those games where later into it when you have a bunch of power ups you are sitting there hitting buttons and watching your character do these amazing moves. I haven't enjoyed that feeling as much since Zoe. The graphics and characters are pretty darn top notch. The Priates of the Carabean level blew me away for realistic portrayals. The game has an insane amount of hidden/sidequest things that could keep you busy for hours (I played 50hours and I didn't finish them all). The Tron world was rather sweet to see, just never ever play the Lightcycle game.
The Bad: The gumiship thing was great in the last game, and I just couldn't get into it this time. Way too much of the same. A lot of the same worlds from last time with very similar plots. Also half way through the game you have to go back to everywhere you went and do another quest which is basically the same as the first time you where there. It's just not as good as the first, I couldn't even place all the reasons why, it was fun, just not that fun. With every 'world' character you hook up with you get this rather sweet combo, unfortunaly using them means so much stuff goes on at once you can't tell what's hapening.
The Ugly: The Little Mermaid level, why? The voice acting. I know some of the voice actors for Disny characters are dead, but not all of them. Plus the character acting was rather flat, so even the unknown characters didn't sound that great. Minigames of crap. Why all the really dumb, near impossible minigames that really didn't give you anything (okay I didn't beat them all, maybe if I did I might have got something cool)? About those lightcycles I meantioned earlier. Lightcycles were one of the most memberable and coolest things about Tron. Kingdom hearts ruined them for me. The Lightcycle game was yet another really dumb minigame where memorization mattered way more then any reflexes. Heck it was barely a game, just remember to have you cycle here, and hit X at this time then tap right. It was so lame.
Overall: still quite a bit of fun, but not nearly as much fun as the first. You spend too much time visiting places you have already been. Could have been so much better. It was almost there, but not almost enough.
