I was going to include this in my Wii review, but it was long winded enough.
Summary: the multi-sport game that currently comes with a Nintendo Wii.
The Good: Intuitive fun. You pick this one up, pop it in, point your Wiimote at the screen and just start playing. It's all so intuitive that there really isn't much to learn. You make your character do things the way you would do them in real life. You swing the wii to swing a bat, tennis racket or golf club. You follow the bowling motions to roll a ball. You even duck and jab with the Wiimote to box. It's just all so natural. And a ton of Fun. The included sports are a good mix and everyone will probably find something they like. Playing this makes the whole Mii thing make more sense, as you choose which Mii to be when you start playing. The ambient sounds are very well done especially in surround sound. The added speaker on the Wiimote is excellent especially for sounds like the ball hitting the bat.
The Bad: A little too simple. Most of these you aren't really playing the game much. You are only making some of the motions for the characters. For example in baseball all you do is pitch and hit, you don't ever field the ball. How many bases are taken is based on how good the hit is. In tennis all you do is swing the Racket, you don't actually have to move. Now Boxing you move, duck, juke and swing with one hand or the other. So it's a bit of a mixed bag. Baseball you only play 3 innings, not sure why, at least give me an option to play more, same with Golf, why only 9 holes? Really you can tell that this whole game is more of a 'tech demo' then a real game. When you compair it to the graphics and style of the other games on the market it's pretty redily aparent.
The Ugly: The graphics are rather silly looking. For a brand new console I was hoping for something a bit flasher. I realize that graphics aren't what they are showing off with this title but they could have put more work into it. The background music is even worse.
Overall: more of a tech demo then a full game, but still easy to get into and a ton of fun. Doesn't look like much, but it will keep you busy enough to make your arms very sore
