Quickly: should have come with the system. Not that great a deal.
Summary: this is a combo deal, 9 mini games showcasing the Wii remote controller and a controller to play them with. For some reason this was released first in Australia, came with the Japanese Wii, came out in December in Europe and came out in North America, Tuesday!
The Good: another remote makes multi player gaming possible, which is great. Setting up a new remote is uber easy. The games all use the Mii system, which I have grown quite fond of. You end up with 9 games for like $15 cdn, which should be a good deal. Some of the games are actually quite fun (fishing, Spot Mii, the Air Hockey games especially). These game really showcase the variety of movements you can pull off with a simple remote control. Works with the dashboard and message system which is neat if nothing else (you get emails based on in game achievements). The surround sound is excellent especially for such simple games. Multiplayer is a lot of fun, especially in the games mentioned above.
The Bad: Not very much variety. It's nine games but they are all rather simple and each have one theme and stick to it. They each tend to be a quick timed game or a very limited set of levels which never change. No Nunchuck. You know you are going to want one eventually, why not toss that in as well, even for a higher price. You have to use controller one for all menus. That's just annoying and means that I can just grab either controller to play solo. This means that your 1player controller is always going to run out of batteries first.
The Ugly: why did I have to pay for this? What this game is, is something that is supposed to come with the sytem. The games actually TEACH you to use the remote. This would have been great to pop in as the first thing I ever put on my system. It would have taught me the possible motions and made me very happy. Instead I get it a weeks after I have used the controller and have to go through tutorials on how to do things I have been doing that whole time. Why the heck did it come out so late over here? Why isn't it just free with a Wiimote, why charge at all? I also swear I saw this for sale for $2 at Target back before xmas when you couldn't even find a Wii to play it on.
Overall: Some fun mini games that definatley should have come with the Wii system. You will most likely want a new remote controll at some point for playing two player. Might as well get the games with it right? Well yes and no. There are some fun games, but nothing is as fun as anything on Wii Sports, so just know what you are getting, a bunch of uber simple tech demos showing you how to use the remote you already know how to use. If this drops in price to be as much as or only slightly more then a remote on it's own then I can definately recomend it as you will have some fun with it.
