Quickly: the worst Wario Ware so far, way way too short.
Summary: Wario Ware created specifically for the DS. This means Micro-games that use the Stylus and Microphone. Like all Wario Ware games this is really a collection of uber tiny Micro-games. There is a basic story line and a collection of characters. You pick a character and if you complete enough of their games and then a boss level you unlock a new character. Keep doing this until you have unlocked all characters. You can also earn bonus items for getting high scores on various games or characters. These items include silly toys that just do something funky with the User interface or mini games you can play for high scores. Nothing really new in the game, just for a different system and thus a different control scheme.
The Good: All Wario games are addictive, insane and fun and this is no exception. This one has the best sound and graphics for a portable system. The dual screens make for some nice larger games. The blowing in the Mic is and odd but interesting user interface. This is a perfect portable game as all micro-games are by nature very short, so you can pick up and play a couple anywhere.
The Bad: The bonus items just weren't as much fun to play around with as ones in other games. The user interface only really having two inputs was a bit weak. There are only so many things you can do with a stylus (tap or drag, or tap then drag release). Having some games using at least the A button would have been nice, or perhaps one of the shoulder buttons.
The Ugly: way way to short. I got to see the credits on this on the night I bought it, and I bought it at about 10:00PM. There just aren't enough games. By the second day of playing I had seen ever mini game and unlocked even the bonus characters (bears instead of monkeys this time around). This was highly disappointing for the price of the game (it retails for $50, I did find it for $30).
Overall: I found this game for $20 cheaper then the retail price and I was very disappointed with the length of it. There are a ton of great DS games that start at $30 or under that have way more play time and re-play value then this. It's still a fun game, just know that you are getting the shortest Wario Game thus far released if you plan on picking this one up. I had (and am still having) way more fun with Wario Ware Twisted.
