Seeing as pretty much all newer RPGs require that use of miniatures to get the full play out of their combat system, combined with the fact that most of these also have rules for using 1" grids, I am strongly considering making some form of play mat my next purchase.
I have seen a variety of them on the web but never any for sale locally. I have also seen a wide variety of prices and quality.
I am looking for somethign with 1" squares that you can use a dry erase marker on. Having hexes on the other side would be a bonus but not necessary (as I have few hex based games).
Does anyone have one they are willing to part with, or know a good place to pick one up?

Do you have any DnD mini's play mats? Not the new ones that are all maps from modules. The Out Of Print ones, just the square maps that you had to place the scenery tiles on. If you do fold it out and put some books on it after 3 days take it too a staples store and they will laminate it for you for I think $10, it will take a week as they send it to London to do it. Buy some dry erase boards and go nuts!

The only map I have from D&D that is of the right scale is the ones from .... damn mind blank... some big module that was the first one produced for skills and powers, Undermountain or something like that. As I am running Star Wars and Warhammer right now, a big undergroud cavern map wouldn't really suffice.
HuginandMunin showed me a great one when I was in the store the other day, and when funds are avaliable I will probably pick it up.

Just a quick update. Picked up a pretty great mat from Huginandmunin, so no longer looking for one.
