My name is Dan. My wife and I are looking to jump aboard a 4th edition D&D game, though we could probably play any edition. I'm a long time player, off and on for most of 30 years. My wife is a fairly new player but a long-time avid Fantasy reader. We are both in our 40s but could fit in with most any non-teen group, I'd imagine. We're looking at Saturday or Sunday evening 2,3 or 4 sessions per month.
We could host up to 4 more people at our place or could easily travel within Essex County. We've got an extensive D&D miniature collection (at least one of everything), as well as lamentated battlegrid and DDM maps.
I've been a DM but would much rather play. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum Dan! I hope you are able to find a group. Currently running a 3.5 game myself, but not in need of more players at this time. I do have a suggestion though, you can try Hugin and Munin the FLGS. They usually have multiple postings of games looking for players and Ian will happily let you toss somthing up noting you are looking for a group. You can get more info (hours, location etc) here www.huginmunin.com/ Unfortunately a lot of groups either don't know about us here, or for some reason chose not to post.

I posted on H&M's forums as well a couple days ago.
They don't actually have a board in the store of people looking for players/games. I was kinda surprised. Thanks for the suggestion.

They don't have a board, but I have seen various posters stuck up on the walls by the gaming tables. I know one of our members Talon has used it to advertise his recent games to good effect.
Hey Ian! If you're reading this post, why don't you have some kind of community cork board or something?
While Technically Comic shops, it may be worth seeing if Millenium Comics or Rogues Gallery will let you post something up as well. I know Rogues does do some rpging upstairs at least a few nights a month, even though they don't actually stock gaming (besides HeroClix).
