While I was in Toronto, I stumbled on a magazine called 'Taps' which claims to be a Canadian periodical about the Canadian Bar world. There was an advertisement for an organization of Ontario micro brewers which I thought some of you might be interested in. www.ontariocraftbrewers.ca/I'm thinking of hitting the LCBO with a list and working my way through what they stock. Also, it would be nice if we asked specifically for these Ontario beers to support our brothers in Hops. Walkerville Brewery is listed as a member by the way.

There are some excellent brewers involved with OCB, but it's hit or miss as far as availability goes. I'm assuming you're in the Windsor area. If so, your best bet is hitting the Roundhouse LCBO location. I know for a fact they stock Cameron's Auburn Ale and Cream Ale, also have Steam Whistle. Other stuff you can find at the Beer Store - Muskoka brands, Robert Simpson, Wellington. There's a few reasons not all of these are available, one being that a lot of these places are very small, therefore can't get the distribution they need. I talked to the brewer of Scotch Irish, and he told me he does the beer deliveies himself! Also some of these brewers aren't available in LCBO/Beer stores because there's a hefty stocking fee involved. I totally agree with you as far as asking for these beers to be better reperesnted in our stores. You may be able to special order some. Oh, you might be familiar with this already, but the LCBO website is pretty well done, you can search by location and see if the product you want is in stock. Cheers and good luck with your beerhunting!
