Rather cool looking. I would have really wanted these if Wizards hadn't just put out a Star Wars mini game (thankfully two of my players picked up a ton so I didn't have to, thanks Lobo and Talon).
This would totally depend on the rule system. If it's a system like Pirates it will probably be rather good, if it's a system like that horrible nascar game, it will be horrible. I just can't see the reason to put out a competing starship battle game.

Did you find Pirates of the Carribean to be a good system? I thought it was horrible... at least when it first came out. The ships look neat, though.

Actually I have never tried it, just read quite a few reviews. That combined with the fact they are still putting out expansions about as quick as Magic The Gathering, to me means it has to be a good game.
I personally have tried to avoid everything collectable since my CCG days. Thus no Pirates, no Clix, no D&D minis, etc.

I still like the Pirates game (sorry wes). It was fun and easy and the later expantions have added some neat things to it. What I's surprized at is that Wizkids managed to get a licence to even do this. Once wizards gets their claws on something they are usually very loathe to let others get a piece of it! Some of the Starships they show look fairly good for just being cardstock though!

Sorry isn't good enough, Ian.

In order to spend less $ on games? How's that working out for you, Gilvan? I've heard about your basement heh.
Actually, I look forward to seeing all your games some time.
My biggest problem with being a games addict is keeping all the rules separate in my head *sigh*

Actually it's working well. This is because I now have an extensive collection of different games. This is vs. my previous extensive collection of fipples I definately still spend a lot on gaming. The biggest change though is that I can afford it a lot better now. When I was into Magic I was still in University and the only thing that let me afford it was the fact I still lived at home (at least most of the time). The boardgame collection is getting quite rediculous. I added a new bookshelf over Xmas (2 actually) and immediately filled it with a few novels, some roleplaying and 2 shelves of boardgames. Most of which were gifted from my Father, received for the holidays and purchased at H&M during their year end sale. If we ever get that game of TI going you will get to see it. Many people comment that my basement looks like a games store, but with better selection then most stores. I don't really mind and it's not totally inaccurate. I also have the redemption of knowing I'm not the worst. I would hazard to guess that Lobo and his Wife probably have 2-5 times more gaming stuff then I.
