This is an open invite to all Windsor and surrounding area gamers!
The Windsor Gaming Resource will be hosting an afternoon of gaming on December 20th at the Walker Road Knights of Columbus from Noon until 6:00PM. To go along with our Pints and Pawns events, we have chosen to call this event our first Games and Grub event!
We have reserved two large tables that should fit up to three reasonably sized boardgames each, or one massive one like The World of Warcraft Boardgame. A third table will be abaliable if we need it. The Knights of Columbus will be open to the public at the time, but this has never been a problem in the past and we have held multiple events at this venue.
The KofC has a good sized offering of food, all items except two which are under $8 (the two are a combo apetizer platter and a huge plate of Nachos). Most items are home cooked comfort food style items. Beverages are of course also avaliable and we usually stick to $5 Picthers of Pepsi. As the Council is not charging us to host this event I encourage everyone to support the venue by purchasing some food and/or drink.
The Councl is is located at 1711 Walker Road between Tecumesh and Seminole.
At these events we usually play boardgames, but we have also had people there playing Star Wars Minis and various CCGs. I personally will be bringing Settlers of Catan as well as some other good multiplayer games (thinking Hacienda and Shogun, but not positive yet). I am more then willing to teach any game I bring. I also encourage others to bring games they would like to share with thier fellow gamers.
Looking forward to some great gaming in December.
A disclaimer: The WGR has no ties or affiliation with the Knights of Columbus, it's just a good venue to play some games at that also happens to be free.
