I have been giving serious consideration to dropping the Video game part of the WGR. The main reason being that it's the deadest part of the boards. I think this is for a good reason. There are literally hundreds of video game sites and forums out there, all of them better than this one. Anyone who takes video gaming seriously is getting their news from sites like 1up, IGN etc.
Another reason is the fact that the main emphasis of this forum is to get local gamers together. That's not really something that happens with video games. Sure maybe we can share Xbox gamertags or I can post about a Rock Band night but that's about it.
Now I do actually want to know, and want others to know about any Lan Parties or cool video gaming competitions going on locally. I don't think we need a video game section for that though. Any organizers or promoters can still post in the local events section for this kind of thing. Also, there is some video game news that I still think is worth sharing as I know many users do play either PC or Console. This can easily fit in the General discussion sections of this forum. I just don't think we need a dedicated area for just Video Games.
Please let us know what you think though. Maybe I'm way off here.

Dump it! For the most part people that play video games allot tend to play by themselves. Besides this site should be mostly about RP and Board gaming anyways. There are plenty of sites with info on new games and places you can go to dload a free trial. Plus there is also the forum for "anything else" where if you had a specific question about a game you can always ask them there.

I am no longer in Windsor, so maybe me vote shouldn't count, however I do appreciate this aspect of the forum. I have discovered many interesting video game-related tidbits via this, most recently that Magic: the Gathering will find a place on X-Box live. Anyway, my vote is to keep it.

If it's too time consuming for you, then do what you have to do. However, I will say that I like that section. I'm not able to keep up on the latest offerings, and appreciate reviews and previews of new and upcoming games. Also, this site might not be big and baddass like 1up, IGN etc., but there's way less clutter and commando advertising to distract and annoy.

I like having it: the other video game boards are either way too large, or completely dead.
