Hi I am a mature 21 year old player looking for a group to play with. Both DnD 3.5 or 4e are acceptable. Would really like to get in a 4e game though since I haven't had the luck of playing a game since I got the core books.
I have my own PHB for both 3.5 and 4e.
I'm a University student and my schedule should be pretty flexible (especially since it's my summer break right now). I have heard rumors of there being a University Role Playing club but I haven't had any luck tracking it down, if anyone has information on that I'd be most appreciative.
Also, I do have a friend who is 22 and a brother who is 16 who would be interested in playing as well, though if there's no room for them that is also fine.
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh, before I forget, I live in the Forest Glade Area in Windsor, but I do have an automobile for travelling about the city. However, I'm really looking for a game inside Windsor so if there's anyone looking for players in the Amherstburg area or anything similar I will have to decline. Tecumseh should be fine though since I live so close anyhow.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask, I can be reached by email at leonidas_and_the_brave_300@hotmail.com or just post in this thread.
Thanks for any help you can provide.

My suggestion for playing 4e is to check out the Living Forgotten Realms games being hosted by Hugin and Munin. There are three campaigns being run there currently on Alternating weeks, on Saturdays. Every other weekend is 'n00b' night with level 1-4 modules being run.
Another suggestion is start your own game. You already have two players, that's better then I've done for some campaigns I have run. You may have better results looking for a player or two instead of looking for an existing game to join.
Lastly, Welcome to the WGR forums and good luck finding a game.

As Gilvan mentions, Hugin & Munin is a great place to start. As well as Living Forgotten Realms play through the RPGA (don't let that intimidate you, btw -- it's just normal play) on Saturdays at 1pm which is open to new players all the time, a guy is running a game on Wednesdays at 6pm there. I think there'd be room for 1 more for his game.
My suggestion if you plan on coming out to the Saturday 1pm game is to make a character using the Character Builder that is provided on the Wizards of the Coast website. It is free for the demo version that can work through levels 1-3. (It is well worth it to pay for a subscription if you like playing and think you'll be into it.)
There are a few players already in your age range that you could hook up with to start a home campaign (as well as keep coming to H&M to play).

Also for Hugin & Munin's gaming stuff, is that just at their store? It seems a bit small to me for hosting a game night. And the guy who is running a game on Wednesdays is that at H&M or is that through the RPGA. I guess the other question then is does the Role Playing Gamers Association for Windsor operate out of Hugin and Munin? I feel like a bit of a newbie with going out to find stuff haha, still any follow up would be appreciated! Thanks for the posts so far guys.

The Living Forgoten Realms takes place at Hugin and Munin. On the level 1-4 days there are usually two tables going with room for up to 6 players at each. Seems to be plenty of room at the store for it.
Personally, I don't know about the Wednesday game, this is the first I've heard of it so you will have to wait for Fundin to reply on that one. It is being run at the store though.
As far as I know H&M is the only place hosting RPGA games in Windsor. There's nothing that says they have to be the only place, it's just that, that's where the organizer (Fundin) runs his games.
Lastly: the owners of the store are also running games on Tuesday nights. I think they are currently playing Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay, with plans to start a Call of C'thulhu game soon. From what I understand each game will be a short campaign that will only last a few weeks and then they would move on to another game. Personally I would be joining them if I didn't already run a home game on Tuesday nights.

Just to follow up, the game at H&M on Wednesday is a campaign but not run by me. I merely play in it. The next session is on July 1st as far as I know. (No session today due to fireworks night and Transformers release in the theatres.) I'm not sure if he's welcoming new players or not but you could check in and see between 6 and 9 next Wednesday.
On July 4 and every other Saturday at 1pm new players are welcome and we play adventures for character levels 1-4. (On July 11 and every other Saturday your character needs to be level 4-7 to play so it's for those 10-12 people who have played enough that their character is that level.)
The DM for the Wednesday game and a few of the players in the 1pm Saturday games are in your age range. Your might be able to get a home game going by networking if you are interested in doing that too.

baltarI'm not sure that you might have been to the new store location at 1664 Tecumseh RD. E. We moved here ~3years ago and have lots of space and 3 large gaming tables. Not to worry. The Wednesday night game is not RPGA. It's a regular campaign. Check out the Wizards of the Coast Site to see the RPGA Character creation rules. If you are interested in the Wednesday night game on the Hugin & Munin Forum PM A_Person and ask him if there is room! And if you live in Forest Glade we're right on the 1C bus route (I think that goes all the way out there). If you are going to come to the RPGA on Saturdays at 1:00pm I would reccomend getting there before 1:00pm as they ususlly like to start on time and finish on time! If you are interested in trying something new come on out to the Tuesday night sessions. We run 2 differnt games. They alternate 2 tuesdays in a row then move to the second one. Right now there is a Warhammer Fantasy Role-Playing Game available and a Freeport(Savage Worlds) Game available. You don't need anything but dice and a pencil. Characters will be provided for you. Were doing a couple adventures for each game then switching to something different. Up next is Dark Heresy (Warhammer 40k) RPG and Call of Cthulhu! If you interested let us know! Thanks both for the help.
I am pretty much positive I'll be coming out for the RPGA stuff on July 4th, it sounds like fun.
Also thanks for telling me who to PM about the Wednesday game!

Thanks everyone for their help! I did manage to get into a campaign group. I'll probably do the RPGA stuff as well though.
Feeling quite excited.
You guys are awesome, and once again thanks for all the help and kindness.

Hey Baltar looking forward to gaming with you Saturday. It's always great when new peeps join in. I suggest making up a couple of different 1st level characters. Sometimes it's nice to be able to pick and choose for group balance. Up to you though.
Cheers

My brother is coming along as well, but after taking Ian's advice I'm making sure to have bother he and I role up complimentary characters so we can stick together in a group. (It will be my brother's first time roleplaying and I'm looking forward to helping him out.) Windsor has a great little gaming community and once again thanks everyone for all your help!
