Okay a bunch of members on here are totally addicted to a Facebook App. called Starfleet Commander.
This is a resource management wargame that is reminiscent of old PC games like Master of Orion. You start with a homeworld and some resources and use those to build mines, buildings, improvements as well as research. Once you have a shipyard you can start building ships for both attack and defense. Eventually you get colony ships and can colonize 8 other planets. Each is managed the same way as the first. Along with this are missions you can run from each planet depending on fleet composition.
The interesting part is that all of this runs on a time based system. You generate resources over time. When you run a mission, the ships take a set amount of time to do it and get back. Transporting goods takes time as well. This generally means that you just need to check in on the game now and then, tell your planets what to build and send your ships out.
You can play passively in diplomacy mode if you don't plan on attacking others and don't want to be attacked yourself or you can turn it off and get involved in PvP wargaming.
All WGR members are all part of an Alliance called The Obsidian Fist (keyword Obsidian). We are currently kicking some real ass and are ranked 30th in the world! We have players at all levels of play and experience.
Is anyone interested in joining us on our path to galactic domination? If so just follow this link:
