Much like Warhammer Online did before it, Age of Conan now sports an unlimited free trial. Anyone who downloads and registers the trial client before January 1 of next year can continue playing until they grow tired of the level 1-20 content, or until the servers shut down -- whichever comes first.
Morten Larssen, the vice president of sales and marketing over at developer Funcom, had the following to say about the promotion: "We are confident that many of those taking advantage of this offer will choose to become permanent players, allowing them to experience all of what the game has to offer including all the additions and improvements introduced since launch."
Again, this offer ends on New Year's Day of next year, so interested parties should start their downloads soon

I played this on release. The first bit of the game was high quality, while the mid portion of the game was really lacking in content. Don't know how the game has evolved, but I quit after realizing the mid/high level content was much too sparse.
