This is an open invite to all Windsor and surrounding area gamers.
There will be an afternoon of gaming on Saturday March 6th at the Walker Road Knights of Columbus, in Windsor Ontario, from Noon until 6:00PM.
At previous events we played some great games including Chez Dork, Pandemic, Igor, Munchkin, Power Grid, Alhambra, Formula D, Bang!, Shadows Over Camelot, El Grande, Settlers of Catan, Hacienda, Bohnanza, Puerto Rico, Battlestar Gallactica, Chaos in the Old World, Do you Worship C'hthulhu, Arkham Horror, Attika and more.
We will have access to 2-3 large tables that should fit up to three reasonably sized boardgames each, or one massive one like The World of Warcraft Boardgame. The Knights of Columbus will be open to the public at the time, but this has never been a problem in the past and we have held multiple events at this venue. The worst that happens is regulars come over and ask what the heck are we playing and then ask if it's anything like Risk or Monopoly.
The KofC has a good sized offering of home cooked comfort food style items. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic Beverages will also be available. As the Council is not charging us to host this event I encourage everyone to support the venue by purchasing some food and/or drink while at the event.
The KofC is is located at 1711 Walker Road between Tecumseh and Seminole.
A disclaimer: The WGR has no ties or affiliation with the Knights of Columbus or what they represent, it's just a good venue to play some games at that also happens to be free.

Done. www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=382016289851&ref=nf#!/event.php?eid=382016289851&ref=nf Posted something on Boardgamegeek - something I have been forgetting to do recently. Tossed it up on Hugin and Munin's forum as well. Lastly tweeted about it I didn't bother with a livejournal post as it's such short notice, if we have a couple weeks notice next time I will go a little more public with the advertising. Hopefully get another 20+ players out.

So far we have Starcraft the Boardgame and Dominion for sure...
If I can make it out I will be bringing Galaxy Trucker and San Juan as they are my newest acquisitions and I would like to 'break them in'. I'll grab a milk crate or two of other games to go with these as usual.
Would love to get into another Starcraft game if possible playing Protos again.

I'd love to be there, but I've got existent plans (plans that include an 8 player game of Twilight Imperium, which I've never done it before). I hope it's a good time - I can't imagine it won't be.

I'm coming if I don't get called in to work. I'm hoping someone wants to play Blood Bowl with me, because I'm going to a tournament on the 20th and I need the practice.

I'm thinking either March 27th or the 2nd weekend in April (10th) for our next event. Are either of these days better or worse for people?

27th is better. That is actually my b-day weekend so I will have an easy time getting out of the house. And won't have to leave early.

So far two votes for the 27th and one for the 10th. I'll keep checking back. Friday the 12th will be the deciding day (or maybe Wednesday if I get antsy). At that point we will still have just over 2 weeks to get the word out about the 27th.
