Ends up my Easter plans all fall on Friday, Sunday and Monday. This leaves Saturday open and we already have a sitter for the oldest one.
Is anyone up for some boardgames at Hugin and Munin this weekend?
I talked to Ian and Duane and they noted that the tables are free (no Magic or RPGA that day). That would give us from noon until about 5:00 to play whatever we like.
Personally I've been itching to get another game of Battlestar Gallactica in, but I'd be willing to play something else. This is a good chance to get a longer bigger game in like Twilight Imperium or something.
Anyone up for it?

I'm down.
I'll check back for confirmation that you want to play.
Though I'll have to take a 5-10minute break for a short conference call around 2pm.

That makes 4 people who are interested (got some feedback on Facebook) so it's a go. I will be there at about noon.

After a recent news post, I'm reminded of a game I bought a few years back that I never did play. That's Dust. Dust looks like a mix of a zone control wargame like Risk or Axis and Allies combined with some Eurogame rules (resource management, and score tracked by victory points awared each turn). It looked really good, which is why I picked it up but I've never played it. So I'm thinking of bringing Dust. The Epic game says it takes 4-6 hours, which means 8-12 for us n00bs so I'm thinking the Premium game will be enough to give this one a shot. Here's a copy of the rules for anyone who wants to get familiar with the game before tomorrow: www.fantasyflightgames.com/ffg_content/Dust/Dust_Rulebook_Prem_Eng.pdf

Well we did get that game of Dust in. Unfortunately the estimate of about 1.5 hours to play was off by about 3.5 hours. It took the entire afternoon, so that's all we got to play.
Rather good game though, I'm not a big fan of strategy wargames but I did enjoy this. Will be writing up a full review soon.
