This thread is in response to the interested and active players who have posted in the other threads regarding starting a 3.5 campaign. If you are interested in playing, please email me at corrigancassidy@hotmail.com, as I am finalizing the roster for the game.
This campaign will begin at level 1 and will be played at least once weekly (more if possible, subject to player availability). I am hoping to play on either Tuesday or Thursday nights at approximately 5-6pm and end whenever the players can stay until (no earlier than 10pm, later if everyone can.)
"Empirium: The Betrayal" is a custom political intrigue/combat based campaign. The players have been called by King Parinor of the Kingdom of the Isles (so named in honor of Raymond E. Feist ), a wise elven wizard who leads with wisdom and justice at heart. The Kingdom has just finished a seven year war with the neighboring Empire of the Rose and is looking forward to a new era of peace and prosperity.
But it seems that this is not to be. Dark forces from across and under the continent are conspiring to erase peace (and the Kingdom of the Isles) from the memory of the world. The forces of law and good are rallying to hold back annihilation.
The players have been summoned by the council of King Parinor in a call for adventurers to help neutralize this threat, and will play a pivotal role in discovering the darkness of this world... both within the hearts of the enemy, and the hearts of those they believe to be friends.
Players are to play either good or neutral characters. There is no law-chaos restriction. There are no banned books except for the Tome of Battle/Book of 9 Swords. Players are encouraged to optimize, but not to break their characters entirely. (On the scale of normal-overpowered-broken, they should fall somewhere between high normal and overpowered I'll be doing a character review/concept review to ensure things remain somewhat balanced). 8 point starting stats, 32 point buy.
