Pretty much every other Saturday Hugin and Munin hosts Dungeons and Dragons Living Forgotten Realms. These are RPGA sanctioned events where players play single session 4th edition adventure in the Forgotten Realms.
So far the events have been great. I've personally played a character up to level 9 as well as DMed multiple events. I've met a ton of great local gamers through the RPGA some of which have become friends that I see and game with on a regular basis. Living Forgotten Realms was my first organized play experience and my Gateway to 4th edition and I love it. There's a problem though, we are having a hard time finding DMs to run events.
We have a steady group of players looking to play and have had more then 18 people to sign up on one weekend. If we had enough DMs that could mean running three tables every two weeks. This would be awesome! Unfortunately we don't have three DMs and as of late it's getting to the point where we can't even find two. For example this coming Saturday I will be running a level 4-7 table. I was supposed to be running along side another DM running a level 1-4 table. Unfortunately that hasn't worked out, so we will only be able to have one group play this weekend. This means turning people away, something I hate to do.
So this is a call out to any DMs out there. RPGA is the perfect chance for a DM without a group to run or for a new DM to get their feet wet. The modules are very clear and straightforward and walk you through everything you need to do. They don't require very much prep time (I usually read through them once during the week and then again the night before and that's it).
So is there anyone out there willing to step up? Help out the local RPG community by running some games?
