This is an open invite to any and all Windsor area Gamers. We will be having our 5th Pints and Pawns event of 2012 on Friday June 1st. It will be hosted at the Tecumseh Knights of Columbus. The event will run from 6PM until Close. The plan going forward will be to have one of these the first Friday of every month.
The idea is to get together and have few drinks, play a few games and share conversation with people who share similar interests. Games we've played at past events include Settlers of Catan, Apples to Apples, Fluxx, Hex Hex XL, Ivanhoe, Bohnanza, Munchkin, Power Grid, The Great Dalmuti, Bang! and Wizard. We usually have a good mix of quick and easy to learn party games mixed with deeper strategy and Euro style games. There's always something for everyone. Many of us bring a selection of games to share so there is always enough to play. You are welcome to bring your own games or any of us who bring games are willing to teach our favorites.
This event is being hoseted at the Tecumseh Knights of Columbus on Lesperance Road (just off of Riverside Drive). We will be on the Pub side of the hall. There will be food and drinks (alcoholic and non) available. As the KofC is giving us room to play for free I ask that everyone please support the venue. Friday night is Fish Fry night at the KofC (in the main hall), where you can get either the Fish or Meat Option and a huge helping of food for about $15. The Bar side (where we will be) also has a kitchen with limited menu. I've been told Pizza will also be available.
A disclaimer: The WGR has no ties or affiliation with the Knights of Columbus or what they represent, it's just a good venue to play some games at that also happens to be free.
