Kotor II - The sith lords. XBox
Overall - Buy it if you liked the first, but don't expect too much.
KOTOR II - the sequal to the only RPG to ever win so many game of the year awards. Those awards were well earned and if you haven't played and beaten Knights of the Old Republic (the first one) stop reading and go pick up a copy and beat it right now (it's cheap now too <$30).
Okay there wasn't that good?
Now is part II worth it. Well first off if you didn't like the first one for some reason, avoid this like the plague. If you did like the first one this one is definately worth picking up.
Approx 60 hours of RPG gameplay in this game and that was just doing the "Light Side ending". Reeply value is very high due to the different character choices and amazing variety of options. Various endings exist depending on your Light or Dark levels.
The catch - this game is buggy. It is obvious that Bioware sold the licence and had little to do with the game. There are game breaking flaws in this (like suddenly getting an infinite number of light sabers which causes game hang ups from that point on). These can be 'avoided' by saving multiple times in multiple slots and re-loading when a bug is encountered. These are ever prevalent though, and mainly just an annoyance that creeps up when you least expect it.
The game - story is compelling once it gets moving, the characters are good and interesting, some of the voice acting is great and some makes you cringe. The climax is amazing but then the ending disapoints.
Summary - its a good game, no where near as good as part one. Its worth playing through once (some may do it twice). 60 hours of enjoyment for $30 is pretty good bang for the buck these days.
