Quickly - amazing game. Don't miss it.
Summary - the second installment in the SW Battlefront Series. Similar to the last game this lets you re-create some of the classic (and not so classic) battles from the Star Wars Series. You play these battles from the point of view of a generic soldier on the front lines (to a point, see below). This game contains pretty much everything from Battlefront I and a ton more. A mission based story mode has been added, there is now space combat, you can now play heroes (Jedi, Boba Fette, Liea and more), there is a better co-op mode. 4 player split screen is now supported. Xbox live now allows for a guest to join you, and tons more.
The Good: pretty much everything about this game is an improvement on an already great game. The graphics are better, the sound is better, the gameplay is better. In particular I love the new space battles. You take control of a pilot in you cap ship, from there you can hop into a variety of fighters and bombers and take to the skys. You can then dogfight, or bomb cap ships, take out support ships, take out the enemy capital ship bit by bit (engines, bridge, shields, turrets, etc). The coolest part is that you can actually fly into the enemy capital ship, get out and sabotage it on foot. The included campaign is great and adds a lot more to the game then capturing command posts. New modes like Catpure the flag and assault are a ton of fun. Found a grate mode on xbox live as well, called Hunt. In this mode you play some of the more unusual fights, like Ewoks vs Empirial scout troopers, or Jawas vs Sand People. These proved to be a ton of fun.
The Bad: The enemy AI is still weak. Especially in the campaign mode. It seems only a player can actually capture a command post, even if it is surrounded by your own troops. The heroes are way too powerful, but really it's so much fun to play them that this only seems cheap when they are on the other side. Some of the maps are overly complex - ex. the Death Star - it is way too easy to get lost.
The Ugly: on Xbox live lag can be a huge issue. I have joined matches that were litterally unplayable due to lag. This isn't as big an issue as with part one as I was in quite a few games with 16 human players with no issues, but you will be quitting more then a few games due to connection issues (or getting booted from them if your connection is the cause).
Overall: unless you hate Star Wars or are totally inept at 3rd/1st person action games you should pick this up. Even if inept the fact that you respawn as a new trooper until the battles it totaly lost means you may still have fun with this.
Look for me on Xbox live as Gilvanblight (of course)
