Quickly: excellent controls but not my type of game.

This is from the same developers that brought us Elebits (which to this day is the game that best utilizes the Wii). Again they have created a game with the Wii's unique control scheme in mind. In this game you play a magical drop of water spawned by the Tree of 7 Colours and summoned to defeat the evil black rain and save the Eau's.
This is basically a collection platformer with a unique control system. You use the Wiimote (held horizontal like an old Nintendo controller) to tilt the world. Then your little water drop dude slides the way the world is tilted. Think of the tabletop game labyrinth. Along with sliding around there are some interesting things done with temperature.
At any time you can raise or lower the temperature. This does a couple things. First it changes the environment. For example if you have a pond you need to cross, you can make it cold and the water will freeze letting you get across. The other thing it does is change Dewey. When it's hot he turns to mist and can shoot lightning like a storm cloud. When it's normal he is water and can hip check enemies. When it's cold he is an ice diamond and can attack with a spin attack.
The temperature thing is combined with interactive elements in the environment that adds quite a bit of puzzle solving to the game. There are also two special things you can do with the Wii mote. If shaken up and down you can cause a strong wind, and if shaken left to right you can cause an earthquake. Both of these moves are used to adversely effect baddies as well as interact with items in the environment.
Levels are broken down into 4 stages and then a boss fight. I'm not sure how many levels there are as I haven't played the game until the end.
[glow=green,2,300]The Good:[/glow]
Excellent controls. A perfect use of the motion sensitive Wiimote. Very cute and amusing graphics. Interesting system with the temperature change. Very responsive. Interesting level design with many options as to where to go. Level design system and the ability to email them to other Wii owners is a really nice touch.
[glow=yellow,2,300]The Bad:[/glow]
A little too cute at times. Feels like a kids game but with a difficulty too high for little kids (though kids are often video game gods, so who knows). Oddly there is in game Advertising for some Kid themed bottled Water. I found that a bit odd. Now I rented this, so perhaps this is like a super discount title for $20. If that's the case then the ads are excusable, if not though, it's a bit much IMHO.
[glow=red,2,300]The Ugly:[/glow]
I generally hate platformers. This is no exception. It's a cool game, it controls well, but I spent far too much time watching my water drop fall off the map and die while trying to save a couple more Eau's. This game makes me glad for the wrist strap as it makes me want to toss my controller through my Wii.
[glow=purple,2,300]Overall:[/glow] A cute well designed game with a unique system and unique controls. It makes excellent use of the Wii Hardware. Unfortunately it's a platformer and I hate any game where I can jump to my death. I'm sure there are a lot of people who would love this one, but it's not for me.
