I personally think the original game is rather cool. It's the one where you use cards as armies instead of minis, with each card representing a unit. You use dry erase right on the cards to mark damage etc. A rather unique system that lets you wargame without all the expense of minis. Now you will be able to play without the expense of cards too: Daemornia Studios is proud to announce that we will be shortly entering beta testing for our new product: Battlegrounds Online, based upon the popular Battlegrounds card game. We will looking for beta testers, so why not give it a go and sign up www.daemorniastudios.co.uk/

Hi there, I'm one of the Devs for Daemornia Battlegrounds Online. I just happened to be browsing around and found this post. We are nearing the final stages of the Open Beta testing for Battlegrounds Online and testing is going well, we couldn't be happier with the game. There are still some minor bugs to iron out but the game is very playable and what we would like is as many testers as possible and give the server a really tough stress test. We would love it if you could join us and have a few games. The battles are getting very good reception from all of the testers and everyone seems to be enjoying the game immensely (to be honest, we have to tear ourselves away from the game to keep developing it! lol) Anyway, if you think you might be interested, just visit www.battlegroundsonline.net and pop your email address in the beta test box. Within 24 hours you will have received a beta login and details of how to come and play. As I said we are nearing the end of testing (hopefully just a few more weeks tops) so if you want to get a foot-in and a headstart then now is the time. Look forward to squashing your creatures with my Beserker ShavenLunatic Daemornia: BattleGrounds Online Dev Team

Thanks for the welcome Myself and the other dev have been gamers all our lives and understand the importance of things like this, not just in the "trying to spread the word" sense, but I know from experience that getting feedback from the creators on a game I am planning on investing time into is always appreciated. We are making an effort to not become just nameless devs in this and will as far as possible make ourselves easilly accessible. Our priority is to make a game we enjoy (and we are succeeding a little TOO well in this as we have to tear ourselves away form the game to continue developing it! lol) and a game which can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of if they are investing financially in the game or not, the top players in the game will be the best strategists rather than the people with the most cash to spend. I hope you and your readers join us with the beta test, it's turning out to be a great experience for us and we look forward to playing.. the more the merrier so to speak. Thanks for noticing our project, and good luck Regards, ShavenLunatic Daemornia: BattleGrounds Online Dev Team
