Year one is coming to a close in the Thornwood Campaign. Game one of four for these month's was played today, Doomshaper's forces, Butcher's forces, Snipers in the ruins, Two Solo's in the forest, It was a MKI game (after January 10th all games will be MKII. Sceario: Transverse Assault See the 5 red tokens on the table? Trollbloods need to controll the 3 going North to South. (frm delpoyment zone to deployment zone) Khador needs to controll the ones running East to West (left to right) Game end when some controls all 3 tokens. Trolls run forward, Khador try's to controll the center, Turn 2 Trolls, Take the center, Khador rally's, Turn 3 Trolls Run the Totem hunter around the back end (see him top of the page below?) Game over Trollbloods win 0 Victory points for each. With 3 points controlled Trolls force the forces of Khador out of another territory! In the end my Opponent did not read the rules right and he still had another turn but miss read it ;D

Grissel and Irusk take the field against each other, Scenario: Hold the center of the board within 6 inches of the shield marker. Points 750 points (will be 50 points in MKII) Glued the Runeshapers and Fennblades together and wanted to try them out, Irusk's battle line, Grissel's battle line, Khador advances I pop Grissl's feat quick and adjust my lines, Khador comes back swinging, but the front rank units can't charge do to the feat and can only advance and engage making the damage I take minimal. After reading the scenario twice, it seems my easy win was a little harder to get. I go on a killing spree but still can't get everyone 6 inches away from the center. Khador Demo Crew & Commando's makes short work of the chapion unit, Trollbloods make short Work of the remaining Khador Demo Crew, with 3 commando's and a demo crew, Irusk finally pops his feat. They run or the hills giving me the game but saving 3-4 more victory points for me which gets banked in my warchest to spend on Campaign ability's. 13-4 for the Trollbloods! Larel kept forgetting to pop his dam feat giving me a killing spree the whole army getting a 4+ save for a turn is great but when you don't use it, it's really crappy He really needs to play none fighting warcasters the right way, Irusk is s denial caster and good at it, but so is Grissel.

One of these days I should figure out how to play this game.
As usual I bought the rulebook and before I even got to try the game the new edition was announced. That pretty much had me stop where I was reading right there and put the book on the 'dust collectors' shelf.

Warmachine MKII comes out tomorrow, you can have downloaded it months ago and kept playing. If you plan on a hordes army you can download rules for MKII right now on the privateer press website.
Stop by Hugin and Munin Sunday Jan. 10th,17th or 31st we will be there to show you the ropes.

I knew I could get the new rules. I just got frustrated as it's not the first time I have decided to get into a game just for them to announce a new edition.
Star Wars was the worst. I bought the Core rules. Read them and set up a game, but it wasn't going to start until the summer. By the time the summer came the revised edition was announced. So I picked up all the revised stuff. Before our campaign had even finished the Saga edition was announced and all the Revised stuff became rare and expensive.
same thing happened to me with D&D 3.0. I got all the books for xmas but we were working on buying a house and such around that time. By the time I got a group together 3.5 was announced. Once I started my 3.5 campaign, two weeks later 4e was announced.
Would love a demo on a Sunday, but Sunday is not a day I have free for gaming, pretty much ever. I'll figure it out sometime. I'm probably better off waiting as long as possible anyway as I really don't need to have new minis on my 'to buy' list.

I do get it about new rules, but this company (for once) is different, you could have kept playing with the whole rule book downloaded from the PP site.
Do understand about not having Sunday's off.
